This little guy so eager to have his photos taken he actually arrived three weeks ahead of schedule! I think he knew that I was booking up quickly and wanted to make sure he had a spot. Or... he just knew how eager his parents were to love him up! I love love love how the b&w images turned out for this session. This is the reason why I love photographing babies shortly after their arrival:
One more session to go and I'm caught up! Nothing like a crazy week of photos and processing to reinforce that there's nothing else I'd rather be doing.
The little guy was awake and happy for the most of this session. As you can see from the pictures he was quite content to watch me as I did my thing and only protested a few times. Here are some adorable favorites:
Another fun reminder, I also do birthday parties! Don't worry about snapping precious moments, enjoy the day and let me do the work. This is my third year photographing this lovely and very intelligent little girl (she explained metamorphosis to me). The other really great bonus about photographing her parties is her mom does an awesome job at details and themes. She makes me feel guilty for going to party city to buy my supplies, but she's inspired me to try something different for my girls upcoming birthday parties.

As far as your photographer goes!
It just worked out that I had one day open during my busiest week ever. This was an out of town best friend of a current client and they came together and we had a great time. This little girl was an absolute doll. She was born to be in front of the camera and really hammed it up. Although this family lives in Indiana we are still doing a package and next time hope to meet at a location for some outdoor photos. This is a great reminder for any clients who have friends that visit regularly.

Wow, I'm behind on my sneak peaks! Last week was my busiest week ever (thanks everyone!) and my internet went out for 3 days and I couldn't blog my sneak peaks. Sorry for the delays!
Check out those eyes! They are the first thing I noticed when I saw him again after 6 months. It's so crazy how quickly time passes by, and it makes me happy to know that I can help freeze time alittle with my photos. Here are some of my favorites:
This was a really fun shoot. I love when families have ideas or props they want to incorporate into the session. It gives them some control and gives me something new to try. Please remember that if you ever have an idea and want to try it out, let me know! These are photos you will have for years to come and it's important that your vision is in the session as well as my own. Here are some favorites:
First, I must state that I completely embarrassed myself with these wonderful new clients. I arrived at their house without my camera. Yup, that's right, this is how I introduce myself to them, " Hi, I forgot my camera." An hour later I was ready to shoot, but still felt really bad. Luckily they were completely understanding and good natured about it!
If you follow my blog you know I'm a big fan of location sessions, however, I cannot deny the beautiful simplicity of studio photography, especially for maternity pictures. When I photograph the end of a pregnancy I want to capture the glow of the mother, the love of the dad, and the love of each other. I hope I redeemed myself after my bad first impression by doing just that.
