Main Street is a really fun place to take photos. It allows for a variety of shots, as you can see. Of course, a trip to Main Street would not be complete without ice cream! It was all good until the ice cream ended up on the ground, but there's always the cone! Although it was hotter than expected for May, this little guy didn't let the heat keep him from having fun. Full of smiles and words, he was a blast to take pictures of!
I find the best sessions are the ones with the most variety. Don't forget that you don't have to commit to just studio pictures or documentary style. This session was a little of both and this couple wouldn't let anything rain on their parade. I can't wait to meet their little girl, she's going to be born to great family!
Nope, I'm not pregnant again, I'm just changing my blog format a little. My job allows me to talk with moms and hear great advice on the newest teething toy, or the newest store to open up in town, or the best park for various age groups. I want to share what I learn during my sessions, what I learn as a mom to three girls, and maybe even connect some moms if they are looking for a play date friend. I may even ask for advice, like how do I get my 5 month old baby to sleep through the night?!! Of course my focus will be showing off your beautiful children, but I hope it's also a place to come and read about things important to them, too. Please feel free to comment, offer advice, or make suggestions. And just to encourage that, I will be offering free prints or maybe even a free session those who make the best comments.

It's a good thing I've just had a baby because this little guy was so adorable he could give anyone baby fever! He had these beautiful blue eyes that would make any heart melt. And even though he was exhausted by the end of the session, I did manage to get a few shots of his smile not to mention every other cute expression he made. Can't wait to see him again when he's 6 months! Here are some favorites:
Finally after a few reschedules, I was able to do a session with little guy, right before he turned 4 months. I couldn't believe how much he resembles his big brother. Many of the photos look so similar to the photos I took a year ago! It's really a pleasure to be apart of their lives for another year. My little one is only a month older than this guy so it's fun to commiserate with mom on our sleepless nights. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that by our next session we will be sleeping through the night again!

This was a really fun session. I really enjoyed photographing this family, they have an adorable little girl who is really excited about being a big sister. We bonded while mom was feeding her brother. And she has curly hair, which as a mom of a curly haired girl, I just love.
Sometimes sessions can feel stressful, especially with siblings, but this mom had it all together, and had a very relaxed attiude about it all. Dad was the same, very helpful and willing to be apart of the pictures. It always shows when things just fall into place. Here are some favorites:
