What I did on my winter 'vacation' in 100 words or less

Been so busy that unfortunately stopped blogging for most of December. I'm sorry to all the families who this affected. But here is a quick glimpse as to why my family thought I was permanently attached to my computer chair.

I loved this session! The family was so much fun, and this little girl was adorable and gave me so many expressions to work with! Again, I love my sessions to feel like play dates and this one did. The location was perfect even if the weather wasn't, and we all had a great time!

Whale of a time

This was a fun session. My husband's family is quite large, and it's always fun when a client asks me if I'm related to so and so, because I always am. This dad used to play hockey with my husband in high school, another reminder on what a small world St. Louis can be.
After a feeding and some whale noises, this little guy was happy in his beautiful blue hat. I love Here are some favorites:

A year!

So technically these were taken a few months after her year, but they do conclude our year together! I was lucky enough to photograph this little girl since she was safe inside her mommy's tummy and here she is walking, talking, and growing every day! I hope I get to see her again at some point during her 2nd year of life!

Play Date

I like my sessions with older kiddos to feel more like a play date. I like them to act natural and to just have fun! I think this was achieved in this sessions. I was able to capture real smiles and real laughs, which is always the goal!

Baby Blues

The start of this session was not easy for this little guy, but as it progressed so did his mood and by the end he was as happy as can be! I can only hope that after my sessions the little ones either take good naps or at least are exhausted and sleep better at night!
Speaking of sleep, I love talking about sleep with my clients! My little one JUST started sleeping through the night thanks to a client's advice. I also like to share advice and things that have worked for me in the past. I shared with these clients during their newborn sessions that I used something called a Woombie to use as a swaddle and they said it has worked wonders! Here's the link, I highly recommend it! http://www.thewoombie.com/

I hope some of these photos find their way to the photo gallery on their wall. Here are some favorites:

Such a princess!

OH my goodness! Just look at this face. Her expressions are priceless, and SO incredibly adorable. I almost don't need to add anymore text, theses pictures truly speak for themselves!
