short but sweet

Some sessions last longer than others, and some shorter than others. This was a short and sweet session with a cute little guy. And although he held in his smiles, he couldn't contain his cuteness. After talking with mom I was encouraged to continue my quest for a full night sleep, and I'm now getting closer to my goal! This is just one of the many unexpected great perks of my job, conversing with other moms and getting good advice! Here are some sweet photos from this session:

Hot in the City

As I've mentioned before, I love love love location shoots. Regardless of how many times I may shoot at a place, the kids always make it unique and fun. Don't let the summer heat keep you away, this session was done on a hot & humid day, but we were quick and found some shade to provide proper lighting. These little guys could be models, actually one is currently my banner boy on my blog! Oh, and as you can see from the first photo, allowing your little ones to have fun and act like kids are meant to act makes for much more memorable photos. It's usually those photos that you will look back on and smile :)

Quick Plug

I have to do a quick plug for my 12 year old daughter's new restaurant blog. She review's local St. Louis restaurants according to their taste and kid friendly atmosphere. It's brilliant if you ask me, but I could be bias :)

Boy Meets World

We had to reschedule our first session because this poor little guy had an eye infection, and I'm glad we did because he was very alert and I was able to get a perfect mixture of sleepy baby photos and wide eyed photos. Never feel bad about having to stop a session for a quick feeding, or to let the baby use a pacifier, it calms them down which makes for the best pictures.

Picnic in the Park

Although it was a warm day for the park, we found a nice spot for this little one to relax in the shade. As you can see she didn't have to do much for her photos to turn out great; she has the most adorable face! I swear if she keeps getting cuter by each session, I won't be able to stand it by her year birthday! Here are some favorites:

Smiley

This little guy has to be one of the most smiley babies I've ever photographed. Everything he sees or does causes excitement and smiles, and it's completely infectious. He's growing so fast, I can't believe our next session will be a year, time has completely flown by! Check out these pictures, it's a sure to make you smile, too.

The Next Generation

This was an extra special session because it was for an old friend who now gets to join the club of parenthood. It was a fun trip down memory lane, and a pleasure to capture these first days of life. I wonder if our kids will one day sneak out while we are sleeping? A reminder to never let your kids have a basement room. Here are some pictures of this sweet little girl:
