I've been so busy with sessions lately that I have been neglecting my blog! Here is a recap of what I've been busy with this spring.

Blue Eyed Boy

Check out these beautiful blue eyes! This session captured some really precious moments between mom and baby, which of course being a mom, I'm a sucker for. Here are some favorites:

Face to Face

This little guy looks a lot like his handsome big brother and beautiful sister. What a great combination! Here are some favorites:

The three bears

Such a cute family! I love when families are up for anything, including bundling up and taking some outdoor photos. The snow can make a wonderful backdrop, especially when you have a such a cute little one in a bear suit!

Baby Blues

The start of this session was not easy for this little guy, but as it progressed so did his mood and by the end he was as happy as can be! I can only hope that after my sessions the little ones either take good naps or at least are exhausted and sleep better at night!
Speaking of sleep, I love talking about sleep with my clients! My little one JUST started sleeping through the night thanks to a client's advice. I also like to share advice and things that have worked for me in the past. I shared with these clients during their newborn sessions that I used something called a Woombie to use as a swaddle and they said it has worked wonders! Lighting strikes twice!

I'm so glad the lighting was so beautiful during this session because when I did their maternity session we also had incredible light. This little guy is SO ADORABLE. Oh my goodness, those eyes, dimples, and happy personality mixed with his moms good fashion sense...well he's just perfect! Here's the proof:

Simple can be better

It took a little bit for this little girl to share her smiles, but once her tummy was full, she had a comfortable onsie and mom and dad to cuddle with, she was as happy as can be. It's a good example that sometimes the simpliest idea such as lying in bed can make for the best images. It's always great to go out and do sessions at various locations, but don't forget that bedrooms often have great lighting and can provide familiarity and comfort to little ones. Looking at these photos you probably couldn't guess this little guy was being careful not to give away too many undeserving smiles. His cuteness couldn't be contained and I was able to capture some quick flashes of his adorable expressions. Here are some of my favorites:

Boy, have you changed!

It's remarkable how much a baby can change in such a short time. The newborn to 3 months is such a drastic change. Personalities develop, smiles emerge, and you can start to see resemblances more clearly. Here are some favorites from a recent 3 month session! This session was all about this little guys smiling face!

short but sweet

Some sessions last longer than others, and some shorter than others. This was a short and sweet session with a cute little guy. And although he held in his smiles, he couldn't contain his cuteness. After talking with mom I was encouraged to continue my quest for a full night sleep, and I'm now getting closer to my goal! This is just one of the many unexpected great perks of my job, conversing with other moms and getting good advice! Here are some sweet photos from this session:

Adorable 3 month old with beautiful eyes:



I really love these photos. Nothing like capturing the love between a parent and a child.



It's so fun watching 1st moments. I believe this was the first time this little guy was on a swing. He loved it!
