Face it

These were taken at my house on a rather gloomy day, but luckily I have large windows that allow for some great natural light. Just a reminder to anyone who has a house they think might not allow enough light for photos, we can always take them at my house!

1 year wonder!

This was such a fun session. One of my favorite things about my job is talking with other moms during the session. This was especially fun because this client is actually an old friend from high school, who knew me before I became known as "mom". Hard to believe there was such a time!
One year old's are curious and adventurous little people. I love photographing them, watching them discover the world around them. This little 1 year was full of wonder and the littlest things made her happy. She has quite the vocabulary, and every little thing she did was adorable.

The three bears

Such a cute family! I love when families are up for anything, including bundling up and taking some outdoor photos. The snow can make a wonderful backdrop, especially when you have a such a cute little one in a bear suit!

Little and Lovely

I think it must be impossible to take a bad picture of this little girl. She's absolutely adorable, with the best expressions. I love love loved this dress she was wearing. It really added a touch of beauty to all the photos.

Family

I love doing sessions for family, it's important to me that they have good photos to cherish, and it's also fun to see future playmates of my kids. Here's a little one that we hope to see a lot! She slept through most the session, but shared a few smiles for us even in her sleep.

9 months

This little guy is always in a great mood when I see him, showing off his dimples and great smile. For this session their house was a great backdrop for these photos. Often I'm asked before a session if there is anything a client can do to get ready for the photos or any props they need. All I really look for is a room with the best lighting, and a cute little subject and I'm good to go. I like to go into homes and work with what they have, and this client has gorgeous pocket doors that really added to the photos. Here are some favorites:

I might be slightly bias since this is one of the zillion new cousins that were born into the family recently, but our family has some seriously adorable babies. She was absolutely perfect for this session, only getting tired toward the end which is typical. I had so many favorites it was hard to pick just 5. Here are just a few:
