Big Brown Beautiful Eyes
Wow, I'm behind on my sneak peaks! Last week was my busiest week ever (thanks everyone!) and my internet went out for 3 days and I couldn't blog my sneak peaks. Sorry for the delays!
Check out those eyes! They are the first thing I noticed when I saw him again after 6 months. It's so crazy how quickly time passes by, and it makes me happy to know that I can help freeze time alittle with my photos. Here are some of my favorites:

Biker Baby
This was a really fun shoot. I love when families have ideas or props they want to incorporate into the session. It gives them some control and gives me something new to try. Please remember that if you ever have an idea and want to try it out, let me know! These are photos you will have for years to come and it's important that your vision is in the session as well as my own. Here are some favorites:

New Beginnings
First, I must state that I completely embarrassed myself with these wonderful new clients. I arrived at their house without my camera. Yup, that's right, this is how I introduce myself to them, " Hi, I forgot my camera." An hour later I was ready to shoot, but still felt really bad. Luckily they were completely understanding and good natured about it!
If you follow my blog you know I'm a big fan of location sessions, however, I cannot deny the beautiful simplicity of studio photography, especially for maternity pictures. When I photograph the end of a pregnancy I want to capture the glow of the mother, the love of the dad, and the love of each other. I hope I redeemed myself after my bad first impression by doing just that.
So, here's hoping:

B&W Beauty
I love B&W. When you book a session with me and receive your disk you may wonder why every photo does not have an option of b&w. That answer is simple, not all photos look good b&w. Some photographers will give you a grayscale image of every color image, which works for some photos, but mostly lacks contrast. Instead I carefully choose my images and then convert them properly to insure contrast and fine art appeal. Sometimes a session will have more b&w's than others. This particular session I was able to get alot of beautiful b&w images. My sneak peak only has two, but that's only to show variety. This little girl has the most adorable face. I just wanted to say "Awwww" through out my entire session. I can't wait to come back in a few months to capture more "Awww" moments! Here are a few favorites:

short but sweet
Some sessions last longer than others, and some shorter than others. This was a short and sweet session with a cute little guy. And although he held in his smiles, he couldn't contain his cuteness. After talking with mom I was encouraged to continue my quest for a full night sleep, and I'm now getting closer to my goal! This is just one of the many unexpected great perks of my job, conversing with other moms and getting good advice! Here are some sweet photos from this session:

Hot in the City
As I've mentioned before, I love love love location shoots. Regardless of how many times I may shoot at a place, the kids always make it unique and fun. Don't let the summer heat keep you away, this session was done on a hot & humid day, but we were quick and found some shade to provide proper lighting. These little guys could be models, actually one is currently my banner boy on my blog! Oh, and as you can see from the first photo, allowing your little ones to have fun and act like kids are meant to act makes for much more memorable photos. It's usually those photos that you will look back on and smile :)
